Tourney, Appended is the first of the two tie games played between Messrs Esiiug and Hodgson in the recent tourney for the championship of Melbourne, both of whioh were won by Mr Hodgson. Why not Pto X Xt 3, with a perfectly safe game. t Quite fatal; it is difficult to recognise Mr Esling's usual style in this game; P to X B4 is the only move to prolong the game.
