RABBITSKIN MARKET.
Messrs Arthur M' Donald and 00. report for wi ck ending 18th inst. as follows :—
Last week's prices maintained, but we notice that in 'ome cases rabbiters are too eager to rush their stuff in and do not dry it properly, therefore they are " penny wibo and pound foolish," as the skins when not properly dry become heated and mildewed before they reach us, and if we shipped them in this condition they would be perfectly valueless when they reached London. We particularly advise rabbiters and others to pay great attention to this matter. We quote^s last week, there being no alteration to report.,
Messrs Ebmshardt and Co., (opposite tjT.S.S, Co.) report for the week ending June 17 as follows :—: —
Now that poisoning has started supplies of winter skins are plentiful, and business is brisk. The tone of the market remains firm, last week's prices being fully maintained. We repeat our recent quotations —viz.. selected winter greyß, 17d; ordinary do, 16d ; early winters, 14d ; other sorts up fco 12d, according to quality.
Messrs \ Robert Cleland ajtd Co., Crawford street, next Pier Hotel, report as follows :— There is an excellent demand for for all classes ,of ekins at pries fully up to last week's rates. We quote extra choice winters, 17rt per Ib ; ordinary winters, 16(? per lb; early winters, 14d per lb; autumns up to 19d ; racks, 8d ; light racks, sd ; suckers, Id to 3d, free of all charges.
