Wheat : Market and remains firm in' the North. Tuscans, 3b 3d to 3s 5d ; other sorts 3s to 3s 2d ; medium milling sorts, 2b 8d to 2s lid. Fowls' wheat in fair demand ; good whole, 2a 8d to 2s lOd ; medium and broken, 2s 4d to 2s 7d. Barley : There ib now little doing ; malting. 2b 8d to 3a ; milling, 2b 4d to 2s 6d ; feed. 2s to 2s 2d. Oats has had a little inquiry during the week, but the prices havo not improved; beat milling, Ib 3§d to Is 4£d ; bright plump feed, Is 2Jd to Is 3d ; Inferior and off colour; Is to Is 2d (all sacks extra, ex store i. Flour : Timaru roller, £9, f.0.b. ; Oamaru (town brands and southern), £8 6s ; 100's 10« and 50's 15s on per ton. Oatmeal : Long ton bu!k, £8 10'; 35 s, £8 10s Bran : Tiraaru, £3 ss, f.o.b. Sharps : Timaru, £3 10s. Potatoes : Beßt Oamaru (scarce), £3 5s to £3 10s ; southern, £3. Pigs: The market is glutted ; 2Jd to 3d; really good, 3Jd. Chaff: Well cut heavy oaten is s->ld at £2 sa; inferior and light, 30s to 37s 6d. Turnips, 20s Carrot*, 30» to 355. Straw : Oaten and wbexten, 30s to 3."'s. Hay : Oaten, £2 10s to £3, Clover and rvegrass hay, £3 to £3 ss. Butter : Prime 521t,7dt073d. with no demand but a few packages for local ute ; medium und inferior not saleable. Eggs, scarce.
