Draughts Matches.

CHATTOX V. GOHDON.

The first match this season between the Chatton and Gordon Draughts Clubs was played last night at the Chatton Accommodation House, and resulted in a somewhat hollow victory for the home players, though it should be mentioned that Gordon could not raise their best team. The sides were captained respectively by Messrs M' Donald and Macara. Following are the scores • —

Cromwell v. Bannockburn. The return match between Bannockburn and Cromwell took place in Cromwell on the 7th inst. Forty games were played, Cromwell securing 22 Bannockburn, 10, and 8 being drawn. Scores :—

Mataura v. Wyndham. On Friday, 13th inst., a match took place in the Oddfellows' Hall Wyndham, between the abovementioned club3— l7 players a side — and resulted in a win for Wjndham, as is shown by the score below. At the finish of the match all hands adjourned to Mrs WatBon's Hall for supper, after which speeches, songs, &c, brought a very enjoyable meeting to a close. Scores :
