JS O L O M O N « has been instructed by Mr John Pryde to offer for sale by auction, as above, The whole of his Coal Properties, together with all plant and material on the grounds, including the hauling plant of seven horses (draught), two drays, harness, &c. Also, Private Dwelling House pi five apartmentp, a six-stalled stable and hay loft, with feed house and a buggy shed attached. I The leases owned by Mr Pryde, and now I offered for sale, are three in number, and comprise 145 acres of the best — indeed, the only known — coal lands in fche district. The two seams at the present workings are Bft and 7fb thick, and the quantity of coal in view is enormou?, fully six years' supply being now visible in the workings. What can be seen, however, comprises but a Bmall sample of the whole. The second seam — the one above the present workings — is intact. The seams in the other two leases are considered to be equally good, but have not been opened out thoroughly. When prospected, good seams of coal are visible. In the lease at present being worked there is no water to contend with, and no timber is required. Mr Pryde's reason for selling out is that he is going Home to the Old Country.
