BLUESKIN.

September s.— The quarterly meeting of the Blueskin Licensing Committee was held at the Good Templar Hall, Waitati, on the sth inst. Present : Messrs T. M'Connell (ohairman), P. M'Leod, J. Kay, and W. Park. Mrs Carey applied for a renewal of licenso for the Blueskin Hotel, Evausdale. — Constable Hastings reported that he had inspected the note!, and that the conditions upon which the quarterly ! license at the annual meeting had been granted had not been fulfilled ,the house not having been repaired. — The Chairman said he had heard that the house was then under repair, a carpenter and paiuter being now at work. Such being the case, he did not think it would be right to cancel the license. — In reply to a question, Constable Hastings said he had visited the house that morning, and found that repairs were going on. — The Chairman hoped that the work would be continued, for the committee had to be very particular in attending to their public duty. He understood Mrs Carey was then in a position to put the house in proper order before the next meeting.—Mre Carey said she intended to do bo.— Mr M'Leod moved — "That the license be granted, the house to bs put in repair to the satisfaction of the police." Mr Park seconded the motion, which was carried. — A vote of thanks to Constable Hastings was agreed to unanimously on the motion of Mr Park, seconded by Mr M'Leod.
