of Heath House, and the studs of the Duke of Portland, Lord Hastings, and Lord Londonderry to his son George, and confining his attention to the'smaller bub select teams' of Lord Falmouth and Mr Vyner, and perhaps! a few others. Minting, with his Jubilee at Kempton and the Hardwicke, did the best service for him and Mr Vyner; while for Lord Falmouth he had but one winner, Rada, with, however, four good races to her credit, first at Ascot, where she effected a surprising defeat of Orbit, next the Goodwood Cup, and the Breeders' St. Leger at Derby, and a walkover for the Doncaster Stakes. For himself he bought at Lincoln a filly named Madame Gal vim, who performed fairly for the Brocklesby in running up to Donovan and Poem, but has not yet proved successful; while the Falmouth and Vyner youngsters, comprising Trainbearer, Krishna,' and ■ Claire, of the former, and Glory Smitten and Minthe of the latter team, have yet to make their mark, but may be heard of during the coming season, as also Lord Ilchester's Greville,. a nice colt by Barcaldine from.Eady Brooke, a mare who some few years back carried Mr Dawson's own colours.
