Jannette's Oaks, St. Leger, Parkhill, and Champion' Stakes, with three or four lesser items, made nearly one-half <5f this handsome amount,.and then came Wheel of Fortune's happy turns for the Richmond, Prince of Wales' (York), the Dewhurst, and other good things, Redwing's, Coronation, Oharibert's Prince of Wales' (Goodwood), Leap Year's Chesterfield and Prendefgast, and about another'score of smaller prizes to the credit of Ohilderic, Oharibert, Whirlwind l, Placentia, Pacific, Muley Bdris, Hydrom'el, Lady Golightly, and Silvio. Oharibert's Two Thousand and the " Wheel's " One Thousand, Oaks, ancl Prince of Wales' were,the best things of the following season, and in the next two years, although no classic events came, to Heath House, Bal Gal and Dutch Oven in their respective seasons took the cream of the two-year-old events, repeating the stable victories for ;the Richmond, the Champagne, the Ctearwell, and Dewhurst. Dutch Oven's, memorable St. Leger surprise in '82 will be fresh in every memory, as well as Galliard's gallant deeds at Newmarket and Ascot, and Busybody's Middle Park' in', '83,' which virtually closed. ,the first period 'of Mat's service with Lord Falmouth.
