WAIWEKA.
Fkbruary 4.—The weather during the past week haß been all that could be desired, and the recent showers and succeeding genial sunshine have brought the crops on wonderfully, so that a good yield Is anticipated on all hands. Co-opbration.—The chief topics of conversation at present are tho bag question and the advlßibility of starting a purely farmers' co-operativeassociation. With reference to the bag question, some of the oldest firms are, I believe, quite willing to meet the farmers' wishes and pay for the bags separately, and no doubt the others will also Bee the advisability of a return to the old method of purchase. Flowbr Snow.—lt is suggested that the local farmers' club should inaugurate a flower, vegetable, and grain show. The idea seems worth considering, and 1 trust the club will favourably entertain it at its next meeting.
