THE LONDON PRODUCE MARKET. (From Our London Correspondent.)

, London, July 14. The third series of wool sales commenced on the 19th of last month and will terminate on the 18th inst. Thequantitiesavailablewere 367,097 bales. made up as follows:— New Zealand, 110,425; New South Wales, 79,946; Queensland, 18,430; Victoria, 57.086 ; South Australia, 21,274; Western Australia, 8820 ; Tasmania, 9173; Cape of Good Hope, 61,943. Out of these there have up to date been catalogued 276,368 bales, composed as follows :— New Zealand, 85,337; New South Wales, 65,820; Queensland, 15,165; Victoria, 47,656; South Australia, 13,452; Western Australia, 8564 ; Tasmania, 7886 ; Cape of Good Hope, 32,488. Tbe bidding has been very active, and merinos hive ruled §d per lb dearer than at the close of the previous auctions, though there has been a decline of £d to Id per lb in crossbreds, The fourth series will commence on September 18. The available arrivals are 148,253 bales, composed as follows^— New Zealand, 48,442; New South Wales, 39,865; Queensland, 10,485 ; Victoria, 19,345 ; South Australia, 6:590 ; Western Australia, 64 ; Tasmania, 4454 ; Cape of Good Hope, 18,908. The frozen meat roarktt has been fairly steady during the month. The Turakina, from Napier, with 10,456 sheep and 1000 lambs, has cleared at 3|d to 4jd for the sheep, and 6id to 6*4 for the lambs. Tbe Coptic, from Wellington, with 23,260 sheep, 3185 lambs, and 724 pieces of beef, has cleared at 5d to 6£d for lambs, and 3Jd to 4jd for the beef. This cargo was classed •• irregular." The Rimutaka, from Lyttelton, with a "fair" cargo of 18,80 i sheep, 6lsß lambs, and 1141 pieces of beef, has cleared at 4d to 5d for the sheep, 5d to 6jd for the lambs, and 3§d to 4fd for the beef. The WelliDg'on, from Lyttelron, with 4383 sheep, 5250 lambs, and 252 quarters of beef, has cleared at 4sd to 4f d for the sheep. s|d to 6id for the lambs, and 3|d to 5d for the beef. The Invercargill, from Wellington, with 7643 sheep, 3110 lambs, and 28 pieces of beef, ffas cleared at 4|d to 4§d for the Bheep, 5d to 6d for the lambs, and 3$ d to 4?d for the beef. Tlift Bayley, from Napier, with' 3o,ooo sheep, 500 lambs, and 78 pieces of b»ef, hns sold 18,000 sheep nt 4£d to sd, all tho lambs at bid to 6ld, and all the beef atajdto 4fd. The Tainui, from Wellington, with an "irregular" cargo of 23,911 sheep, 4447 lambs, and 1913 piece 3of beef, has cleared at 4d to 4jd for the sheep, 5d to 6§d for the lambs, and Qd to 5d for tho beef. The Buapehu, from Lyttelton,' with 15,716 sheep, 7925 lambs, and 430 pieces of fSfef, has sold 13,000 sheep at 4d to sd, 5000 lambs at s|a to 6Jd» and 4d to 5d for tbe beef. Oamaru, with 6939 sheep, 2139 lambs, and 196 quarters of beef, has sold 800.0 sheep at 4§d to 4f d, all the lambs at s£d to 6id; and all the beef at 3|d to 4£d. The Doric, from Wellington, and the Kaikoura, from Lyttslton.hayeenly just placed their cargoes on the market. The importation of frozen mutton into London during the first six months of 1885, 1866, 1837, and 1888, are as follows -.—

The wheat market is unchanged. To-day's quotations, ex granary, are :—Australian, 33s 6d to 34s 6d; New Zealand—Long berried, line, 34s to 31s 6d; and medium, 33s to 31s; short berried, fine, 33s 6d to 34s ; medium, 33s to 333 6d.
