Wheat : We quote best Northern 3s 3d to 3s 4d, and even Id more for some choice samples ; Southern samples, 3s to 3s 2d ; and good samples, which are scarce, 3s 3d. Fowls' wheat, in good demand. Good whole, 2s 3d to 2s 6d; medium, 2s; inferior, Is 6d. Barley : Very few good lots offering. Best malting, 4s to 4s 6d; milling, 3s 31 to 3s 9d; feed, 2s 2d to 2s Bd. Oats: All coming forward are easily placed, aud prices remain firm. Best milling, 2s, and Id more for a choice sample ; bright, plump feed, Is lOd to Is lid ; medium, Is 7d to Is 9d. Ffour -. RABBITSKIN MARKET.

Messrs Arthur M'Donald and- Co., Manufacturers' Agents, report aa follows :— Pending the opening of tbe London rabbitakin sales on the 31st insr... the local market is unsettled and prices are very irregular. During the week some extra choice lots have come to hand, for which extreme rates have been paid. Good average lines of full-furred .winters are worth 16d, and for extra choice thin-pelted about 17d. . These prices are free of all local charges. Skins lately taken, especially off low country, are only worth about 1b per lb.

W. B. Anderson, opposite railway station, Dunedin, reports as follows :-r Some apprehension appears to exist as to the position and future prospects of the London market, but that does not seem to make buyers timid, as they continue to pay very high prices indeed. lam still paying frptn led to 17d for superior to selected thinpelted skins. Net cash on delivery ; no deductions.

WOOL AND SHEEPSKIN MARKET. Messrs Arthur M'Donald axd Co., Woolbrokers and Auctioneers, roj.ort as follows :— Consignments of wool and sheepskins are reaching us very freely, aud we are exceedingly gratified to observe the manner in which settlers are taking up j the matter referred to in our circulars, and we c»n assure them that absolutely nothing will be wanting on our part to make the business between us a thorough and lasting success. , We have a strong inquiry for well got-up lots of scoured and sllpe wool, and for such enn obtain excellent prices, there beiug some orders on manufacturers' account on the market. Well-saved sheepskins are in strong inquiry for shipping. .Again inviting growers and sellers to be present at our sale on the 3rd September and following weeks.
