• June 28 — Wa have enjoyed two weeks of really fine weather, consisting of frosty nights arid fine days. Two nights were exceptionally mild ; indeed no midsummer night could have been more so, On the other hand, we had one of the hardest frosts experienced this sear on. The rink epidemic has at last come upon the people of Waikaia. Mr W. Bell has converted his hall into a rink, and intends to devote two nights a week for rinking purposes.
