At thehalf-mile post Tetford, Silence, and Tongariro were leading in the order named, the others trailing out. On passing the stand Tongariro was leading, with Tetford second. On coming to the bend, before ther straight run. was reached, Dudu was fighting hard for the lead, which position he managed to secure, winning by half a length, Victoria being about eight lengths behind the second horse. There was fine weather for the second day's racing of the Wanganui Jockey Club, and a good attendance of the public. The racing was good throughout tho day.
