Late Advertisements. TO STAND THIS SEASON, AT GLADBBOOK, THE PUREBRED CLYDESDALE ENTIRE HORSE Silt ARTHUR GORDON. SIR ARTHUR GORDON (No. 161, N.Z. Stud Book), bred by the Hon. M. Holmes, Awa Moa. Sire, Young Banker (No. 1, N.Z. Stud Book), imported. Young Banker took the first prize as a yearling at Jolnifltone Show in 1875. and fourth prize at the Highland Society's Show in the same year. At the Glasgow Show in 1876 he stood second, and afterwards gained the first in his class at Dumbarton and Kilbride Shows. Young Banker has never been beaten in the Southern Hemisphere. Young Banker's sire, The Banker, began hia Eremium career by taking third at the Highland oclety's Show at Edinburgh when one year old. When two, he was first at the Renfrewshire Society's Show ; also first at Bishopton, and third at Maryhill (open to Scotland) . When threeyears oldhe was third at the Glasgow Open Show; when four years old he gained the Morayshire premium of £60 ; when five years old he gained the Haddington premium of £50, and the fourth prize at the Highland Society's Show at Stirling. Young Banker's dam is a purebred Clydesdale mare, bhe gained first prize at Johnstone Show for aged mares in 1873, and first in the same clbbs at Dumbarton ; and in 1874 she gained the first prize at Dumbarton and at Johnstone for brood mares (open to all Scotland). Young Banker was bred by D. Riddell, Esq. Kilbowie. At the Highland Society's Show held at Aberdeed this year, Mr Riddell gamed first honors in each class of entries shown. Sib Arthuh Gordon's dam, Lass o' Gowrie (No. 4, ft.Z Stud Book). Lass o* Gowrie's sire, Sir Benjamin, by Ben Lomond (imported)* out of Mr Brodie's prize mare (imported from Scotland), dam Blossom, by Matchless ; second dam by Black Champion ; third dam imported by Mr David Nesbit. Lasso' Gowrie took three first prizes and one second before being imported here, and Borne since landing. Sir Arthur Gordon has taken the following prizes:— As a yearling he took first prize at Christchurch and first ab Oamaru. Ab a two-year-old, second prize at Christchurch and third at Oanuiru. As a three-year-old, second prize at Timaru and first at Waimate. When four yeirs old he got first prize at Waimate in the aged class against a field ot six horses, and also got a prize for the test entire on the ground. In 1884 he got second prize at Waimate, being beaten by his stable companion, Time o' Day, and in the following year he gained first prize at the Clutha Agricultural Show ; first at Tokomairiro ; j first at Matau Show ; and also champion prize for the j bpst horse on the ground. Sir Arthur Gordon lias proved a very sure foal-getter. Also, MYSTIC. Mystic is a trotting horse, rising threeyears old, by Pinole Patchen, out of a Quicksilver mare. He is a nice colt and a grand mover. Good paddocks provided for mares at Is 6d per week. Terms on application.
