SHOOTING AT WIMBLEDON.
In the shooting matches in the first stage of the Queen's Prize at Wimbledon in July,Dodds, of the Ist Dumfries Regiment, and Gardiner, of the Ist Cumberland, tied for first prize, and subsequently shot off the tie, Gardiner winning the bronze medal by 14 points against 11 in three shots. . Gillies, of the 19th Canada, and Heath, 'of the Ist Manchester, tied for the Prince of Wales' prize of £100 and a badge. Gillies won in the shooting off the tie. Three' Canadiaas— Gillies, Thompson, and Langstrath — obtained the money prizes, and in the' Tyro contest the silver medal for the highei t aggregate score.
The second stage of the Quean's Prize was won by Hill, of the Bth Lanarkshire Rifles. The contest for the Kalapore Cup took place on the 20th. The English toam won, with an average score of 710, the Canadian team being second with 663. The second prize, which the Canadian team received, was £80.
