(Rbuteb's Telegrams.) London, July 1. In the House of Commons last night, Sir James Fergusson, Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, stated that the .remarks about England on the subject of the .New Hebrides had not so far expedited the negotiations, but he still hoped the discussion wbu^cl shortly be concluded, and the withdrawal of theifrouch from the Hebrides arranged. (Special to Pbess Association.) London, July 1. Sir James Fergitsson, replying to Mr Bryce's question in the Commons, stated that parleying with France had hitherto been without avail. Negotiations were continuing, but nothing definite had been arrived at. He was, however, hopeful that the French would withdraw from the New Hebrides shortly. The Imperial Government were not to be blamed for the great delay which had occurred.
