DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKET.
J. H. Kilgoue, grain and produce broker, reports under date June 29 as follows : — Wheat.— There ia no change to report, business being still limited to the wants of local buyera. I quote prime milling, 3s lOd to 4s ; medium, 3s 8d to 3s 9d. Fowl feed is still exceedingly scarce at 3s to 3s6d.
Oats.— The market is about the same as reported last week. Arrivals have been small, but shipping orders have been almost altogether suspended in consequence of the high rates now demanded in this market. I quote bright short feed. Is 7£d to Is 8d; milling, 1b BJd to Is 9d; sparrowbills, Is 7d; long Tartarian, for seed, Is lOd to Is lid ; Danish, Is Bd. Barley iB in good demand for malting at 3s lOd to 4d (bags extra). Milling is inquired for at 2s 9d to 3s 3d ; feed, 2s 6d. ' Chaff.— Supplies hayp been short this week, and at present best quality would fetch £2 15s to £3 ; medium, 45s to 50s. Potatoes.— The market is quiet, and supplies full at 35s for Northern and 30s for Southern Uerwents ; kidneys, for seed, 60s to 655. Butter.— Fresh, in mixed cases, 7§d to 8d ; salt, in kegs, quiet, at 7d. Eggs, 1b 8d per dozen.
