Napier, December 27. At the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's Boxing Day meeting there was a large attendance .and good racing'; no accidents occurred. Results : —

Maidsn Plate, of SOsovs. One mile and a-half. Fardingale, 1' ; Keep, 2 ; Steelbone, 3. Christmas Handicap, of lOOsovs. One and a third of a mile.— Silence, 1 ; Pearl, 2 ; Huata, 3. Won by half a length ; three lengths between the second and third.

Handicap Hurdles, of lOOsova. Two milei. — Liberty, 1; Owhaoko, 2; Denbigh, 3. Won by a length? Hastings Handicap, of 250sovs. Two miles.— FardiDg.ile, 1 ; Clyde, 2 ; Silence, 3. Won easily by a length and a-half ; two lengths between sec <n<l and third.

Two-tear-old Plate, of 70sovs, Five furlongs. Heke, 1 ; Javelin, 2 ; Timor 3. A splendid race, won by halt a length. Consolation Handicap, of 50sovb. One mile.— Pasha, 1 ; Mystery, 2.

At the Heathcote races about 1000 people were present. £1059 was put through the totalisator. _
