Octobbh 30.— Our school was examined by Inspector Taylor on the 25th and 26th mat. The report was on the whole very satisfactory, the percentage gained in pass subjects being 98. In standard 3 there were two failures, all who were presented in the other classes passing. The numbers presented in the various standards were:-l,20; 2,20; 3,22; 4,24; 5,7; 6,6;— total, 99. Absent, 2 ; failed, 2 ; 95 passed. The marks attained in class subjects (0 to 100) were : — Drawing, 90 ; history, 95 ; geography, 95 ; elementary science, object lessons, 75 ; —total, 355 ; percentage, 90. Additional subjects (0 to 20); — Repetition and recitation, 16; drill and exercise, 16 ; singing, 18 ; needlework, 19 ; additional marks, 84. With reference to standard 7 and the infant classes the inspector reports : Standard 7: There are three pupils in this class. They all showed an intelligent and accurate acquaintance with the satisfactory amount of work professed by them in euclid ana algebra. One of them did besides a very fair amount of work in Latin very creditably. Infant classes : Beading in these classes is deficient in expression, but the rest of the work is most creditably done. The order, discipline, and manners of the pupils are excellent.
