SKIPPERS CHEEK
Alexander Fraser and others applied for a gold-mining lease over section 11, block VI, Skippers creek. — Approved.
SOUTH WAKATIPU,
John Withers' application for an agricultural lease of section 3, block I, South Wakatipu, was approved of.
BLACKSTONE.
William M'Conochie's application to purchase section 13, block VII, Blackstone, was recommended for the Governor's approval.
WAIKAKA.
J. Pullar applied for a grazing right over 25 acres of section 5, block 111, Waikaka, on condition of his keeping it clear of rabbits. — Referred to the ranger.
POOLBUEN.
John Noone asked that section 1, block 11, Poolburn, should be offered for perpetual lease, as there was very little land in the district fit for agriculture. — Government recommended to set apart the section for perpetual leasing.
BUTTON.
The board were asked to fix the upset rental of perpetual-lease section 5, block XIII, Sutton,
lately forfeited by Robert Wilson. — The Board resolved to reduce the capital value of the section to 30s per acre. WENDON. The Secretary of the School Commissioners asked that section 1, block VIII, Wendon, be withdrawn from sale pending inquiries as to it* auriferous nature. — It was resolved to withhold the section from sale in the meantime. MANAPOURI. J. Richards, H. Bluff, J. M'Nab, and A. Bisfederich intimated their intention of throwing up the license of run 42b 1 . — Government to be recommended to accept the surrender of the run. KYEBURN. G. and W. Currie, licensees of run 206, requested the board to forfeit the license for nonpayment of rent. — Run to be gazetted accordingly. WAKATIPU. Ewen Duncau applied to surrender runs 16, 17, 20, 21, and 22, Wakatipu, as the expense of keeping down the rabbits was more than the land was worth, while the snow lay too long on the ground for cattle or sheep to live. — To be forwarded to the Government for consideration. MOBKAKI. Gr. M'Kenzie applied for a small piece of land adjoining section 26, block XVI, Moeraki township, in consideration of his giving a road in front of his property.— Ranger Valpy to bu appointed appraiser under section 95 of the Land Act to value section 34, block XVI, Moeraki township, with the view of the same being hold to the applicant. HAMILTONS. J. Berryman complained of his application for a residence area at Hamiltons being declined on account of it being euclosed by Udie's fonca. District Laud Officer to arrange with Udio so that Berryman' can apply for residence area ; otherwise, Udie to be informed that ha will be proceeded against as a trespasser on Crown lands. GIMMERBURN. D. Brown, on behalf of Euphemia Brown, asked that 100 acres adjoining sections 8 and 9, block IV, Gimmerburn, be surveyed and opened on the deferred-payment system. — The Board resolved, on the payment of survey fees being made, to recommend that sections be opened as asked for. REDUCED VALUATION. Ranger Hughan recommended that the valuation of lands recently held under perpetual deferred - payment license be reduced as under: — W. Bere.sford, section 6, block XIV, Benger, be reduced to £493 6s; Joseph Sheath, section 4, block XI, Raukleburn, and Catherine Sheath, section 5, block XI, same district, £11 ss; W Moore, section 10, block VIII, and 1, block IX, Table Hill, £186 8s 6d ; W. Sheath, sections 2 and 3, block 11, Raukleburn, £36. — Approved of. APPLICATION TO PURCHASE. It was agreed to iisue a licenses to E. I<\ Gerkins for deferred-payment rural section 6, block V, Blackstone. The following applications to purchase ou deferred payments were approved of: — Heiulrich Wenuerbeck, section 11, block X, Waipahi; John Dundas, section 21, block V, Loaning Rock ; R. Stewart, section 4, block XV, Waipahi; W. J. Shauks, section 23, block IV, Greenvale. CAPITALISATION. Capitalisation of payments was authorised in the following cases : — J. Jones, section 15, block IX, Waitahuna West; Ben. Styles, section 12, block IX, Wendon. KNAPDALE. Plans of roads on which this road board proposed to spend a small sum of deferred-pay-ment subsidy were approved of.
