BROAD BAY.

The annual meeting of householders for the election of a school committee at Broad Bay was held in the school on Tuesday evening, Mr F. Henderson in the chair. The retiring committee's report showed the income for the year to have been £25 15s 3d ; and there remained a credit balance of £1 5s 7d. The school had improved under the new teacher, and the daily average attendance for the last quarter was 38. The following gentlemen were duly elected as committee for the ensuing year: — Messrs Henderson, G. Anderson, Carnegie, Green, M'Lennan, M'Dougall, and Morris.
