LEITH VALLEY.

The meeting of householders at Leith Valley was presided over by Mr R. Rossbotham. The retiring committee submitted a satisfactory report showing that considerable improvements had been made with very limited means, and after paying all dues there remained a balance of £2. The chairman stated that the late committee had worked hard in the interests of the school. Nine gentlemen were then nominated (Mr Ibbotson declining to stand), and the poll resulted as follows: — Hogg, 29; Lawson, 22; Butler, 13 ; Booth, 11.; Carson and Rossbotham, 9 each ; Augustus Sourden, 8 (elected) ; Jones, 6 ; M'Neil, 5.
