Marr, Esq., Uppermill, I'nrves, Scotland. His dam, Jess, was a pure ClydesInle. a great prize-taker, of immense bone and fine M'lnmetry. What's Wanted, when a yearling, in 1873, gained 'irst. honours at Inverary. and the second prize nt Aberdeen. When three years old he won the Ro3 - al Northern Society's first prize, and the same year he gained the Auchtermuchty first prize ©f £55, beating ■> lield of 173 horses. In 1876 was shown in a field of '•(selected horses at Stirling, aud was awarded the ;ii.t prize of 60 guineas. And in 1877 he gained the West of Cumberland Stallion Society's first prize of tMOO, at Glasgow, in a field of upwards of "200 of the X'st blood in Scotland.
