Oamabd, June 10.
The Waitaki Bridge Hotel was burned down early this morning. No idea is formed of the origin of the fire, which consumed the whole of the contents of the building. The total insurances was £700, divided as follows :—: — New Zealand Company, £300; Sun, fi2oo ; Colonial, £100 ; and North British, £100. Mr John Reid has lost by drowning his champion border Leicester ram Baillie Hamilton, imported recently at a cost of some £200. The animal was insured for £100 in the Live Stock Association of Australia.
