INTERPROVINCUL. Nasebt, July 15. At the Resident Magistrate's Court this m >rning Thos. M'Whirter, Tokarahi Station, wvs charged on three separate informations wish having driven mobs of sheep across run 2 '6b, Kyeburn, without having first given tue notice required by the 49th section of " The Sheep Act 1878." On the first and second informations defendaut waß fiued £15 and £5 7s respectively, and the last one was withdrawn by the inspector. During the hearing of the hrst case John Pringle was put ia the box for the prosecution, and his answers were so evasive that the Magistrate ordered him to be placed under arrest.
Inveroabgill, July 16. At a meeting of the congregation of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church this evening the Rev. Mr Gordon, Temuka,was unanimously nominated as pastor of the church, and it was resolved to ask the Presbytery to moderate in a call.
