Ih was Mr \Vright'a intention to commence a blue Ribbon Temperance Mission on Friday ,'22nd iu3t., at Milton : but owing to the unfortunate accident which ho met with at Gore, his arrangements will be indefinitely postponed.

REiiioiops.— On Friday ovening last, at tho Church Of England, Bishop Nevill conducted confirmation uervices, when 21 persons presented thotnbe'lves for confirmation. The cerm n preached was a most appropriate one. The singing was also gone through iv a satisfactory manner. - EmJOAiiONAi,.-The Fairfax School Committee voted for Messrs Begg, Shand. and Elder lor the vaoant seats in the education Board. The-Circlo Hill Committee at its list meeting also voted for tho abovementioned gentlemen. Racing. It is intended to hold two days' racing in Tokpmairiro this year.
