The North Ofcago Coursing Club intended to award a cup to the winner , of the Members' Plate at Thurday's meeting. J. Turner, of Dunedin, has been elected slipper' to the Canterbury Coursing Club for the ensuing season. ,At the last meeting sixteen gentlemen were elected members of the Club, and the secretary was requested to obtain permis sion to hold meetings fromjgentlemen in various parts of the district. ' The opening day of the Papanui Club has beenalteredirom May 17fch to ,May 24th. It has also been decided to defer the nominations for the All-aged Stakes to May 16th, the final payments and drawing for the Puppy Stakes to take place at the same time. ' The final pay ments and drawing for the All-aged Stakes will take place on May 23rd. Ground has been secured in the neighbourhood of Yaldhuret for the opening meeting. ' , ' The Papanui Coursing Club have invested . their committee with power to expel from the coursing ground any person misconducting himself. Twelve hew members were elected
