Mr Devrington's solicitors decline to make the apology demanded by Mr Ebenezer Ward. They say they would have been willing to apologise before the action, but declare that they had written without malice. The Coffee Taverns Company has declared a dividend of 15 per centum. At the half-mile First Water showed first, and continued to load, winning by two lengths. Time, 3 mm. 39 sec, TASMANIA.
