London, November 10th. Adelaide wheat, 50s per 4961b, ex warehouse.
The total quantity of wheat afloat for Qreat Britain is 1,4.50,000qr5.' The Premier, in a speech at the Mansion House, stated that he believed the revival of trade would be permanent, because an improvement was apparent in England, America, and Europe. The British Government was closely watching Ireland, who never yet appealed in vain to England. One reßult of the Zulu War was that it taught colonists self-reliance in case of difficulties. The Afghan War fully secured the frontier to India, and maintained British influence in Asia. He believed there would be a prolonged peace throughout Europe, provided England maintained her present position in the Councils of Europe, No mention was
made of the dissolution of Parliament or the future policy of the Government. Earl Derby has resigned the membership of the Carlton Club. This is regarded as the severance of his connection with the Conservatives. Panama, November lOfch. The Chilians have captured the town of Pisaluc (?), in Peru.

London, November 10th. General Lahanoff has advised the Porte to assent to England's demands, but to refuse any [request for the cession of territory.
The Golos declares that in the event of the entry of the British squadron to the Euxine, Russia will regard" it as a casus belli.
The Press director at Stamboul has ordered the papers to desist from attacks on England.
The Daily News states that the British demands consist of the appointment of Englishmen as collectors and inspectors of finance, the formation of police under British officers, and of courts under English judges.
(Special to the Melbourne Age.) London, November 11th. It is established beyond doubt that Yakoob sanctioned the massacre of the Embassy. Yakoob is closely confined, pending the decision re punishment. The British have entered their winter quarters at Cabul.
