A CORRECTION.

TO THE EDITOR.

Sib,— ln last week's Witness I sea your Ciitnbruns correspondent makes some gross mistakes. I£ the Witness only circulated where your correspondent is known it would not be worth the trouble to coirjct the misatatement, but when he writea au obituary notice of a man who is ia much better health than ha is himself, and circulates it all over the country, it is too bad. Benjamin Charles is not dead, bub is ia perfect; health, and besides this, he never was a shareholder ia the Blue Duck, which was a good claim according to "your own," but which is still a good claim in the opinion ©f , everyone who knows anything about it. Your correspondent alao says Mr Donloy was apparently in good health just before his very sudden death. - I think anyone's common' sense would tall him that, or else the victim would not have boon at work, and so' would have escaped his very sudden death, Mr Donley leaves a family of 11 children, the eldest being about 17 years of age. So much for the maturity of some of its members (vide your correspondent). Had ifc not been that Mr Donley's and Mr Charles' relations are near neighbours in the Old Country, I should riot have asked you to allow ma to make this correction. — I am, &c, ' . ' "

S.- MC,

Cambrians, November 10 bh. j

[We have been compelled, to excise portions of the above on account of their extreme personality. Our correspondent explains, ia reference to the unfortunate obituary notice of Mr Charles, that he had mistaken the deceased's nama, and should have written Benton. The statements made in the excised portions of the letter will receive attention.— Ed. O. W.]
