RANGITOTO SILVER MINES.
The New Zealand Sun of November Ist has the following item from the Rangitoto Silver Mines':— Our correspondent from the Mount Rangitoto Silver Mines states that the road to the mines has l>ejn progressing very slowly ; it will take five weeks yet to complete it. We hear that the new manager is satisfied with the appearance of the ore, and that he has commenced a new tunnel, in whic 'he expects to strike the main lead within uix weeks. He says, from the bearings taken and the general indications, he considers himself justified in thinking that his supposition will prove correct, shares still keep above par. We hear of a sale last week a± 15s premium. A gentleman of independent means, who has iarga experience in silver mining matters, and who has been living at the mines since last January, has expressed great faith, that the Raugitoto district will turn out something great before very long. He holds 160 shares in the Company, and is constantly increasing his number. The Rangitoto mine, under his management, will shortly command public attenion.
