Mr BRADSHAW, in the absence of Mr Bastings, moved the following resolutions :—: — v That Mr Speaker be requested to forword through His Honour the Superintendent, for the purpose of laying upon the table of the General Assembly, all petitions that have been presented to the Provincial Council since 1860, having referencs to the throwing open of land for the purpose of settlement." " That an Address be presented to His Honour the Superintendent, recmesting His Honour to forward to Wellington, for the purpose of laying upon the table of the General Assembly, all petitions received by His Honour since tho passing of the Land Act, 1860, having reference to the throwing open of land for the purpose of settlement."
