A moderate amount of business has been "transacted in supplying demand for consumption ; but there is little or no speculation. The market being still bare' of Adelaide flour, millers havo advanced their prices. Cornsacksare scarce, and in demand. Oilmen's stores are in more request.
■ The following may be taken as the quotations for leading articles : —
Adelaide flour,. £25; Provincial, £19 to d£l9 10s ; in small bags, 10s extra. Rice, Patna, undressed, £35 ; dressed, £34 to £37 per ton ; old, £l(>less. " Tea, duty paid, common, Is 9d ; good medium, 2s 3d to 2s 6d ; superior kinds, 2s 9d to 3s boxes, 32s to 365 ; orange pekoe, 2s 9d to 3s 3d.
Sugar, duty paid— Whites, £48 to £52 ; grey crystals-£46 to £48' ; yellow do, £46 to £4 ; yellow counter, £42 to £44 ; comznon yellows, £38 to £40. • - Spiri (in bond) : Brandies, Martell's or

Aromatic tobacco may be quoted at 2s to 3s ; dark, at Is 6d to 2s ; tens' at Is 6d to 2s 3d ; Barret's twist, 2s 9d. Soap : Liverpool, no demand ; Colonial or Provincial, 3 , . . Butter — Provincial, prime, Is 2d ; Wellington or Sydney, Is. Cheese, English, la 3d ; Colonial, lOd.
Hams and Bacon, new cure — Sinclair's md Coey's, Is 2d to Is 4£d, respectively ; other brands, Id to 2d per lb. loss.
Candles— Full weights, Is Id to Is2d; light weights, unsaleable.
Kerosene, 3s 6d per gallon, duty paid.
Groceries — Salmon, lib tins, 17s 3d ; oysters, 10s 6d ; lobsters, 9s ; sardines, halves, 11s 6d ; quarters, 7s ; salad oil, pints, 14s, half-pints, 9s 6d ; pickles, 12s to 13s ; bottled fruits, 17s : vinegar, bulk, 2s 6d ; bottled. 10s 6d ; mustard, 71b. tins, lOid : Jib. do, 7s 9d.
Fruits — Dried apples, id ; currants, s^d ; raisins, Eleme, and Cape, 74d ; Muscatels, lOd to Is.
