DUNEDIN PRODUCE REPORT.
March 19, 1868. Mr C. W. Lqrenzen, Produce Salesman, Jetty street, reports :—: — Oats are again looking up. Some orders have been received for the West Coast, but the price offered is only 2s Bd. The market is ovei stocked with potatoes, owing to imports from Auckland and Victoria. Orders are on hand for malting barley, but buyers will not give over 3s 6d to 4s. The following are the latest quotations :—: — Wheat. — 6s 6d ; inferior, 5s per bushel. Flour. — £17 per ton Seconds.— £s 10s per ton. Bran. — None in the market. Maize. — 3s 9d per bushel. Barley. — 43 per bushel. Oats. — 2s 8d to 2s 9d per bushel. Chaff. — £4 to £4 10s per ton. Hay. — Oaten, loose £4 ; trussed, £4 10s. per ton. Straw. — (Oat and wheat), £2*per ton. Rye Grass Seed. — 5s (id per bushel. - Rye Grass Hay and Clover. — £3 10s to £4 per ton. Potatoes. — Derwent (Provincial), none in the market. Melbourne, £7 ss. per ton. Peas. — Green, 15a per cwt. Horse beans, 6s per bushel. Onions. — £12 per ton. Bone Dust. — None in the market. Corn Sacks. — 14s per dozen.
