The Austrian war steamer Elizabeth has been ordered to Mexico— it is supposed for the purpose of bringing the Emperor Maximilian to Europe. About 10,000 of the French, troops were to leave for France on the 25th October. The report of Maximilian's abdication is contradicted in some quarters. The main Liberal Army has been routed ; and all the French troops are concentrated for speedy return to France. There D3s been severe fighting in Paraguay, between the allies and the Paraguayans. The Brazilians were repulsed.
