SUPPOSED LOSS OF THE S.S. CITY OF DUNEDIN, AND OF ALL HANDS.

Great fear is entertained that the City of Dunedin steamer has been lost on her passage from Wellington to Hokitika. Pieces of wreck have been washed up, which it is said have been identified as portions of the fittings of that steamer; and it is hardly probable from the position of the vessel during the night when the disaster occurred that any of the crew or passengers escaped. In addition to the crew there were fifteeu passengers on board.
