New York, Sept. 15 (per Africa). Advices received here from Vera Cruz to the sth, state that the French are preparing for another campaign. Marshal Forey had ordered the Peruvian Minister to leave Mexico for writing a letter to Juarez. Advices from Jamaica report that the Spanish fleet bombarded Port-au-Platte on the 6th, entirely destroying the town, and killing many inhabitants.
