Constantinople, Sbpt. 24. The Syrian indemnities will be paid in the new issue of 30,000,000f. of Consolides. The question of forefcnr-rs holding property is approaching a settlement. Iv is reported that Franco Effendi will succeed Daoud Pasha as governor of the Lebanon. The Aldin Railway supplementary concession has gone to London to-day. The statutes of the Varna Railway have been approved. Sir Henry Bulwer has returned to Constantinople.
