WAITAHUNA ROAD BOARD. (Communicated.)

A meeting of the Board was held on the 30th tilt., at the Golden Gate Hotel. Present : Dr Samuels, Chairman ; Messrs Thompson, Cook, Tanton, Buckle, Duke, and Captain Sutter, Treasurer. In the absence of the Secretary MiThompson kindly acted pro. tern. A report was brought up by the Sub-Commit-tee, recommending payment for certain works now passed by them. Moved by Captain Sutter, seconded by Mr Buckle, " that the report be adopted."— Carried. The Treasurer made a statement to the effect that the present contract was for pounds, therefore no balance would be left in his (the Treasurer's) hands. After some other business, a vote of thanks was given to the Chairman, when the Committee adjourned, sine die.
