The amount from the Dnnstan this lime is 6,240 OJi'ieos 2 chvts. This is the qmnt'ty deposited during the eleven days that had elapsed since the despatch of the first escort. There is plenty of gold still offering for purchase. The Molynenx "River still continues high, and numbers of miners are registering their claims ; but. at the same time, the country around is being extensively explored, and very encouraging prospects are being obtained in mr.ny localities. At the junction of the Molyneux :md the iWiniiheiiida large finds are being obtained, and on the Teviut stream the diggers are reported to be doing remarkably well, and to have large parcels of gold in hand — being unable to fiiid buyer; for all they can obtain. Several extended prospecting claims have been applied for htely, principally on the Nevis Stream. This is about thirty miles from the Dunstan. on the road to the Victoria Ctullv, and is lojkcd upon as a continuation of the Nokonni field. The prospects appear to be pood, for 2oz. were obtained in one day by Kennedy and party. The gold has been | deposited in the camp. The general feeling at the Dunstan appears to be hopeful, and from the quantity of gold being offered for sale, it is confidently anticipated that the next escort will be larger than the preseut one.
