As ye there exists no doubt but that the daring depredators, on this occasion, were composed of Gardiner and his gang, as this notorious ringleader was seen in the neighbourhood in the afternoon of the outrage. The sergeant of the escort received two shots in his body. At seven o'clock- the escort conveyance arrived in Orango, tho town presenting a sceneof great excitement. Immediately on the coach entering Orange, Constable Haviland shot himself in the vehicle. The result of this daring attack has ended in Sergeant Condell being Avounded in the side, and Corporal Moran. being wounded in the groin. The Lachlan" escort was stuck up on Sunday night, hetweeu four and five o'clock, near Mr. Clement's about forty-five miles from Orange. All the escort guards, excepting oaf, and the coachman, were wounded. All the gold was taken, and the mail-bags opened.
