BYE-LAWS. 1. npHAT any person setting fire to or J- causing any part of the Waste Lands of the Crown within the Hundred to be set on fire, without the consent in writing of the Wardens, shall forfeit and pay for each and every offence any sum not exceeding £5. 2. That all Cattle depastured on the aforesaid Waste Lands of the Crown shall be branded or marked on some conspicuous part of the body with the owner's mark or brand, under a penalty of not exceeding £2 for every offence. 3. That all persons depasturing Cattle as aforesaid shall, in the first week of May, give notice in writing to the Wardens of the said Hundred, or other authorised person, of the number of his or her Cattle then running, with their mark or brand ; the said Return to be left at the residence of any of the Wardens, under a penalty of 20s. for every omission. 4. That each and every person depasturing Cattle as aforesaid, shall, when required by the Wardens of the aforesaid Hundred, give in writing or otherwise any reasonable information relating to the Cattle running on his or her account ; and any person refusing to give such information, or giving false or evasive information, shall forfeit and pay any sum not exceeding £5 for every such offence. - 5. That no entire male Cattle shall be allowed to run upon any part of the Waste Lands of the Crown within the said Hundred without the consent in writing of two of the Wardens, under a penalty of not exceeding 20s. for each and every offence. 6. That no Bull Stag or Rig be allowed to run upon any part of the said Waste Lands of the Crown without the consent in writing of two of the Wardens, under .a penalty of not exceeding 20s. for each and every offence. 7. If any person, in removing any of his own or his employer's Cattle from any place within the Hundred, shall find it impossible to separate them from -the Cattle belonging to other persons, he shall drive the latter no further than the nearest Pound or Stockyard accessible to him, where he shall effect a separation; and he shall immediately thereafter return all the Cattle belonging to other persons to the place or places whence they were at first removed by him : every person so removing : C.attle belonging to other .persons farther than such nearest Pound or Stockyard, s^r neglecting to, return them,' as hefein proTended, shall forfeit and pay any sum not exV^eding £5 for each and every such offence. 1.7 ROBERT MURRAY, Chairman to the Wardens.
