PERSONALS.

Mr. Benge (postmaster) is at present in Auckland on holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Noble left yesterday to take up residence in Poxton. Mr. Fred Watford, for some years a resident of Otaki and now of Nelson, is at present on a visit to Otaki but will return south this week.

Mr. George Tattersall, for many years a resident of Otaki and now of Wanganui, was among the week-end visitors to this town.

Mr. Ken Howell, late of the Otaki post office stall' and now of Rotorua, is at present spending a holiday in the King Country.

We are pleased to report that Mr. A. Snlherley, at present undergoing treatment at Kotorua, is making good progress. The death occurred this morning of .Mrs. Collier (Thompson), a well-known Native, who resided in Rahui-Road for some time. Deceased, who leaves a husband to mourn his loss, had been ill for some considerable time.

The funeral of the late Mr. William Koach, who died as the result of a motor accident, took place on Friday afternoon when the body was laid to rest in the Native cemetery. The Rev. Paora Temuera conducted impressive ceremonies at the church and graveside while a number of beautiful floral tributes were placed on the coffin. The attendance was a very representative one while members of the Otaki &laori Racing Club acted as pallbearers.
