NEW GERMAN ESTABLISHMENT.

There is at least one school m the world vwhere none of the pupils ever wants 'to Vplay truant! This js m Germany, a country m which education has always been of a very hign order indeed. The -school has just been erected, and is claimed to be" one of the most modern educational establishments yet 1 devised. There are no dustladen brick walls separating the classrooms from the . corridors. Instead, glass cabinets fo,r books, pupils, work and so on have been built. Even the (outer ' walls contain no bricks. These also are of glass, thus giyingr to the school every possible atom of light and sunshine. There is a splendidly equipped cam teen for the scholars, while, a washbasin is provided jn every classroom What also pleases the pupils is the fact that each desk m the physics laboratory has its own water, gas and electric connections. There is a greenhouse m which plants may be raised throughout th§ year; and one room is fitted with an apparatus so that the stars may bestudied at any time of the day.-
