Fisk Jubilee Singers.

Tho Fisk Jubilee Singers,, wiu appear on Thursday next at Otautau. The Fisk Jubilee -Singes have earned, a world-wide reputation, not so much, perhaps, on account of the merit of their pei formunces, great as this undoubtedly is, but because of the unique character of their entertainment, which charms by the novelty m method and the quaint sweet music of the old plantation songs, which haunt the memory for long after thoy have been onco hoard. A deep religious fervour breathes through many of thc melodies, but the coons are a simple-hearted, joyous folk, whose broad humour is always near the surface and never long restrained, even ou serious occasions. It is some years now since' the Company visited these shores and they are certain of a warm welcome here. Miss Belle Gibbons, the Lady Baritone, so well remembered by her phenomenal voice, is still a 'prominent member of thc Company, and the music is m the capable bunds of Professor C. A. White. . The box plan for the Otautau Seasion is at Kilgour's. Seats may be reserved without extra charge. The Fisk's will appear at the Coronation Hall, Nightcaps, on Friday night.
