Wairio Races.
The pqpular fixture last Wednesday drew a largo attendance although not up to last year. The gate receipts were less by some £80. Special trains carried a goodly numher of race lovers from all parts of Southland, whilo motor cars played the increasing importance attached to this form of travel.
