The produce market has not been marked by any sudden rises during the week, all lines selling at previous week's figures, witb tbe exception ol potatoes, whioh are somewhat weaker.
Produce— Wheat has been coming to hand m fair quantities. We sold 40 bags very shrivelled wheat at 7s 6d and 83 per bag on Saturday. Several line 3of good fowl wheat bave oome to hand, prices 3** 81 per bushel. Oats.— Discoloured and musty oats continue to come to hand, and are hard to quit at anything like a good price. We sold 60 or 70 bags at auotion (com 3s to 7s per bag. Good feed oats, 25.4 d per bushel. Straw — We have heavy .stocks cf thi3 on hand ; one or two damaged lines have aiso been sent m for salt, price L 2 15-1 per ton ; damaged, Ist 5s per ton. Linseed— l6s per owt. Clover Hay— We have two iruoks primest clover hayarciving to-day, whioh we quote at L 4 10s per ton. Barley meal, 7s 6d per owt. Bran, 6s per sack. Pollard, 8s per sack. Potatoes, L 3 10<*, ex store, for best quality. Inferior lines are hard to quit at any prioe. We have now good stocks of White Elephant, Nova Scotia, and Northern seed on hand, aad can supply any requirements. We also have enquiry lor Up-to-Date seed potatoes. Chaff.— Chaff ia coming to band fairly plentifully, especially cow chaff, whioh we can offer m large quantities at L 2 5a to L 3 per itbn. Yegetables.— Qood supplies of Cabbage, 3s per saok. Carrots, 4a per cwt. Parsnips 4s 6d per owt are still coming to hand. Fruit.— Apples are the main selling line at present. 100 cases Hobart apples came to hand, and sold at from 9s to 12s 6d per case. Dessert apples (Canterbury) 8s 6d to 10s per oase. Cooking apples, 7s bd per oase. Pears are soaroe. Pines, lis par casa. Mandarins, 13s 6d per case. Oranges. 10s per oase. Lemons, 12s 6d per oase. Passions, 10s 6d per oase. Walnuts 6d lb. Barcelona, 6d lb. Peanuts, 2|d lb. Poultry. — Qood entry on Saturday, composed largely of laying pullets. White Leghorn pullets, 3s to 3s 6d ; Blaok Minorcas, 3s 6d. Hens, Ss to 2s 6j. Table birds, 13 6d to 2s. Cookerele, Is 9«i. Small fowle, Is 3d.
Pigs.— We had a large entry of pigs on Saturday, principally good store pigs, and these attracted .a graat deal of attention. < Suckers, 12s t*> 14s ; weaners, 14s to 18* small stores, £1 to 255 ; larger Btores, 303 ; about 10 heavy stores Bold at 355. We remind clients that we are offering .good prioes for bicon pigs. We have still suppUes of Honey on hand ; 601 b tins at 4£d per lb, Sound hams, 7d per lb.
