SCHOOL COMMITTEE

MONTHLY MEETING GENERAL BUSINESS The monthly meeting of the Opunake School Committee was held in the Borough Chambers en Wednesday, Mr. 11. E. Collins, chairman, presiding. Present: Messrs. 11. S. Martin, S. Hutcheu, W. E. Smith, A. R. Reynolds, ]). McCrone, C. R, Strange, F. J. MeLaugl#m (headmaster) and J. G. Oliver (secretary). Apologies were received from Messrs E. M. Gibson and D. M. Jillett (First secondary assistant).

Permission was granted to the Methodist Youth Committee to hold an Easter Camp at the school grounds. The headmaster was authorised to make further enquiries regarding the question of installing radios in the school for instructional purposes. The secretary was instructed to write to the Taranaki Education Board drawing attention.to the unsatisfactory finishing* work on the new school playing area. ••••••

Accounts were passed for payment totalling £B9-1-9.
