EX-SERVICEMEN TENANTS SEPTEMBER ALLOCATION A further 180 tenancies were allocated to ex-servicemen during September, under the system v/liereby at least half of all newly vacant or newly completed State rental units go to ex-servicemen of the recent war. This brought the total number of such allocations to 11,198. Allocations are made on a basis of relative urgency by the rehabilitation housing committees in each centre. The following shows allocations in the various districts, the figures for September being given in parentheses: AucklandNorth Auckland 3,202 (50), Wai-kato-Bay of Plenty 947 (30), Hawkes Bay-Povertv Bay SGI (7), Taranaici 341 (3), Wellington (including Wanganui, Manawatu, Wairarapa and Hutt Valley) 3,713 (46), Nelson-Ma rl-boroiigh-Westland 313 (6), Canterbury Province 1,275 (20), Otago Province Gil (13), Southland 235 (5); total 11,198 (180).
