No objections were lodged against the proposal to raise n loan of £IO,OOO for reticulation work. A formal resolution to apply to the local Government Loans Board for permission to raise the loan was passed. The term of repayment will he *5 „' years and security is to be provided by an annual rate of l-13th d on the rateable capital value of all property in the Board's area. The items tor which the loan money is intended are the reticulation of Okahu Road to give an additional feeder to the northern part of the district, which is necessary because of the area, £2680; 'four small extensions, £2,000; 20 transformers, £2800; other reticulation, £2520. x\ letter was received from the Supply Authorities Association advising that the Minister" had agreed to convene a committee of interested Government Departments to investigate the control of opossums, and the recommendation put forward of a bounty of 1/- per tail would ~>e considered then. Members aU'ireed that it was satisfactory to know that the problem was leceiving full recognition. It was suggested that data concerning opossum damage to the Board's reticulation . system be submitted to the committee. 'An application for power Io houses and milking sheds on Rosser Bros, properties Manila Road, was agreed to, but the work will not be proceeded with until the next financial year. Annual Conference reports were submitted by the delegates, Engineer' and Secretary.
